About this calculator
The main test-score mode divides the number of correct answers by the total number of questions and converts the result to a percentage. A second mode lets you enter a target percentage and see the minimum number of correct answers needed.
How to use it
- Choose whether you want to calculate a completed test score or work backwards from a target.
- Enter the number of correct answers and total questions for a completed test.
- For a target score, enter the total questions and the percentage you want to reach.
Test score formula
Test score % = correct answers ÷ total questions × 100
For example, 42 correct answers out of 50 gives 84%. The displayed letter grade uses common US 90/80/70/60 boundaries as a quick reference.
